Born in Rio de Janeiro, now resident in Melbourne, walla C started making beats in 2013. His laidback music is inspired by jazz, funk, blaxploitation, afrofuturism, glitch, lo-fi beats, afrobeat and brazilian folk. Especially his new release “s u r d o” is mostly influenced by rhythms from Brazil, such as Samba or Baile Funk. He sampled original brazilian records and added his own flavour to create this lovely piece of feel-good-music.
