Earlier this year, Maria Usbeck, the former frontwoman of Selebrities, released her solo debut “Amparo”. With this project she captures her childhood in South America and her desire to compose in Spanish. The backbone of Amparo is percussion, vibrating throughout with timbales, tumbas, a talking drum, bongos, shakers, and an Indian flat drum, with the gaps filled in by her field recordings of birds, beaches, and jungles.
Now, four songs of the album have been remixed by Project Pablo, Tempelhof, Kaazi and Jensen Sportag. Each remix comes up with a completely new sound but still got that lovely chill vibes. Listen to the entire EP above and purchase it via Bandcamp.
