Here’s the second installment of my “Ear 2 Da Beats” series where every mix is dedicated to one of my favorite beatmakers. In this episode I pay homage to the great J-Louis.
He started making beats on his iPhone and already killed it at that time. The guys from Soulection signed him and released his awesome “Balanced” EP which was also produced with his phone. At least I think so. Since that EP I’m a huge fan of his music because he combines heavy basslines and trap beats with soulful chill vibes like nobody else. It’s no surprise that he produced for Bryson Tiller’s “TrapSoul” album, because Trapsoul is actually what describes his music very good.
This mix features some of his best works including productions for Elhae and Bryson Tiller plus collaborations with Iamnobodi, DrewsThatDude and Zacari.
