Sly5thAve – Let Me Ride feat. Jimetta Rose (Official Video)

Sly5thave

Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer Sly5thAve shares a fresh new video for “Let Me Ride”. The Jimetta Rose assisted song is taken from his 2017 released album “The Invisible Man: An Orchestral Tribute to Dr. Dre”. As the title says it’s a collection of orchestral cover versions of all the classic Dr. Dre joints.

The video for “Let Me Ride” is heavily influenced by Ralph Ellison’s novel “Invisible Man” as Sly5thAve was greatly inspired by the text itself when creating his album. Director Francesca Mirabella and Sly5thAve wanted this film to continue that exploration, offering a modern abstracted interpretation of some of the themes, story moments and visuals of the novel.
