Thundercat shares his new album “It Is What It Is” including Mac Miller tributes and features of Steve Lacy, Childish Gambino, Kamasi Washington and Lil B among others. The15-track strong album is per usual a funky, jazzy piece of work filled with lyrical self-irony and introspective viewpoints. Sung mostly in a soft falsetto, the LA native bass player signed to the Flying Lotus‘ label Brainfeeder, with no doubt takes musical reference of early 80’s funk.
