Will Dorey, better known under his stage name Skinshape recently released a new album titled “Umoja”. Back in March he shared the promising first single “Sua Alma” featuring D’Alma and now keeps up with the lovely world music vibe on his new full-length project.
On his 10-track offering, the London, UK based artist delivers a lovely mix of afrobeat, experimental, trip hop and psychedelic rock, driven by live instrumentations, exotic percussions and vocals in Portuguese (Nazare S. Coutinho), Swahili (Idd Aziz) and Wolof + Soninke (Modou Touré).
Ready to escape these weird times we’re living in right now, at least for a bit? Well, Skinshape will take you on a little trip to distant places all around the globe. During quarantine and isolation this album is pure vacation for mind and soul.
